Wikipedia - Ukrainian Men's Volleyball Super League

The Ukrainian Men's Volleyball Super League (Ukrainian: Волейбольна Суперліга) is the top men's league of Ukrainian volleyball. It was founded in 1992. It is run by the Volleyball Federation of the Ukraine (FVU).

Before, the Ukrainian teams played in the championship of the USSR, founded in 1933. During the seasons 1991/92-1999/00 called the Premier League (Ukrainian: Волейбольна Вища ліга). Between leagues at the end of each season, the teams exchanged - the worst two (one - directly, the second - in the case of unsuccessful performance in the play-off matches) are eliminated in the relegation - they occupy a place of lower league teams.

Ukrainska volleybollsuperligan (ukrainska: Суперліга України з волейболу) är den högsta volleybolldivisionen för män i Ukraina. Den administreras av Ukrainas volleybollförbund (ФВУ). Ligan grundades 1991, efter Sovjetunionens fall.

Ligan består av tio lag som spelar en dubbelserie med matcher. De fyra bästa lagen kvalificerar sig till slutspelet, som spelas i en cupformat. Mästarna i Superligan kvalificerar sig till CEV Champions League, medan tvåan kvalificerar sig till CEV Cup.

De mest framgångsrika lagen i Superligan är Shakhtar Donetsk, som har vunnit ligan tio gånger, och Lokomotiv Kharkiv, som har vunnit sex gånger. Nuvarande mästare är Barkom-Kazhany Lviv.
