Wikipedia - Baroka F.C.

Baroka F.C. is a South African football club from Ga-Mphahlele near Polokwane, Limpopo that plays in the National First Division also known as the Motsepe Foundation Championship for sponsorship reasons, following their relegation from the top tier division commonly referred to as DStv Premiership.

The club rose to prominence in 2011 by reaching the semi-final of the 2010–11 Nedbank Cup, defeating several Premier Soccer League sides like Moroka Swallows and Kaizer Chiefs along the way. They also won the 2010–11 Vodacom League Limpopo division, but subsequently fell short at the playoff stage, to win the aspired promotion for National First Division. In their debut season in the National First Division they came close to gaining promotion play-offs to the Premier Soccer League but fell short on goal difference on the last day with a 1–1 draw against Thanda Royal Zulu.

In December 2023, the club only paid half of its player salaries.

Baroka FC är ett sydafrikanskt fotbollslag baserat i Polokwane, Limpopo. Laget spelar för närvarande i Premier Soccer League, den högsta fotbollsdivisionen i Sydafrika.

Baroka FC grundades 2007 och gick med i Limpopo Stream of the ABC Motsepe League, den tredje divisionen i det sydafrikanska fotbollssystemet. Under säsongen 2010–11 vann de Limpopo Stream och befordrades till National First Division, den andra divisionen.

I National First Division förlorade Baroka FC mot University of Pretoria i uppflyttningsplayoffen 2015–16. Följande säsong vann de National First Division och befordrades till Premier Soccer League för första gången i deras historia.

Barokas hemstadion är Peter Mokaba Stadium, som har en kapacitet på 45 264 personer. De spelar i blå och vita randiga tröjor, blå shorts och blå strumpor.

Barokas nuvarande huvudtränare är Dylan Kerr. Lagets kapten är Siphelele Mthembu.
